If you haven’t had Korean Barbecue [a.k.a KBBQ] – you are missing out! Keep reading to find out more about my top places you should try when you’re craving Korean Barbecue or if you’re looking to try it!

If you aren’t familiar with the history of this type of cuisine – here’s the highlight. According to Wikipedia, ” Korean barbecue refers to the popular method in Korean cuisine of grilling meat, typically beef, pork, or chicken. Such dishes are often prepared on gas or charcoal grills built into the dining table itself”. What makes KBBQ special is the food along with the experience. Sometimes you are cooking the meat yourself – at other location, some one is cooking it for you!

Baekjeong NYC

This is a personal favorite of mine! I love this place so much that I try to take all of our friends and family to this place. To top it off we even had our wedding dinner here! That’s how much I loved it. There’s no doubt that any day you come there’s a wait so plan to wait in a potentially long line.

Jongro BBQ

I absolutely love coming here because the atmosphere and environment is so cool! If you’re looking to have awesome food and Instagram worthy pictures, this place is the spot for you! Be sure to make it to this restaurant before 6pm because the wait can be really long!

This place is so cool because they cook your meat on a Captain America shield looking pot. What is also so awesome about this place is that it is an all you can eat! You can select your favorite meats off their list, but just make sure you come hungry and you know how much you can eat because they do charge extra if you waste tons of meat. Let’s be honest – do we really want to waste meat? Naw – not cool.

K-Pot is based in Jersey City and is also an All You Can Eat restaurant that offers Korean Barbecue…. and Hot Pot for an additional charge! They have an awesome sauce table where you have the option to mix and match from a large variety of sauces. They also have mince garlic and green onion should you want to add a little hit to your meat!
