With today being International Women’s Day, I thought of various ways to show my support. I could share a list of businesses that I know are women-owned, but I got worried that I would end up missing a business. Believe me – I would feel really bad about it if I missed a business. Instead, I thought today would be a great way to share some ways to support every women-owned business!

1. Like, Follow, Share

One of the best free ways to support a women-owned business is to like their social media posts, follow them on all their platforms, and share it on your socials. This is a great way to spread the word about the business and potentially drive some new clients to their business! Plus, seeing the support online can really help motivate entrepreneurs and keep them going during challenging times!

2. Buy A Full Priced Item/Service

Purchasing a full priced item or service allows for the business owner to keep the profits and not eat up any of the cost by giving a discount. Services are priced to cover the cost of labor and the ability for the owner to make a living – it’s what allows them to keep doing what they are doing!

3. Tell A Friend

As a business owner myself, sometime word of mouth referrals ends up being one of the best ways to meet new clients and grow my businesses. Talking up women-owned businesses in a positive light may end up helping in larger ways than you can imagine! There are networking effects, and one or two referrals can multiply quickly when people share with their friends and community.

4. Write a Review

Have you tried the service or purchased a product from the business? Write a review for them on Facebook, Yelp, or Google! Reviews play a part when prospective customers are looking to make a decision on whether or not to spend their money on something. And if you love them, why not! It only takes a few minutes to leave a review, and it can have a long-lasting positive impact!
